3 Things to Say . . .

  1. I want to thank the HLPC church family for praying for me during my week in Colombia, November 7-14. The trip, which was arranged by the ministry Gospel Through Colombia, took me to the coast of Colombia to the historic city of Santa Marta. I was given the opportunity to do short conferences in two separate churches and then end the week preaching in the Calvary Reformed Church. It was a tremendous blessing and joy to be with Colombian pastors and members of their churches. God graciously granted to me a week of good health and safe travel. Just before I was to leave on the trip, my youngest son, Matthew, had to have an emergency appendectomy.   I thought this might cause me to cancel the trip, but God was gracious in giving Matthew a sound recovery and I was able to leave as planned. Thank you for praying for him during those days. This Sunday during our School of Discipleship at 9:15AM I look forward to sharing with you about my trip. I’m thankful what God is doing in South America through Gospel Through Colombia.   Please come!
  1. I hope you’ll be able to join us tonight for prayer here at the church at 6:30PM. We’ll meet in the fellowship hall for a brief look into a passage of Scripture and then we’ll pray for our church, our nation, our world, and our own personal needs. This has been a great time for me and for those who have been able to join us on Wednesdays. We’ll have coffee ready!
  1. I also hope you’ll make a special effort to be here on Sunday night, December 11th at 6:30PM for “The Work of Christmas.” This will be a great evening of music presented by the HLPC choir under Elizabeth Weiss’ direction. Please come and plan to stay for the reception that will follow. You can sign up for what you can bring to share that night by way of finger food. Please invite friends and family to come as well!
