Carolina On My Mind…and Hopefully Yours

For those who were here this past Sunday for School of Discipleship and/or worship, you heard of a missions trip opportunity for the entire HLPC family that was presented by Andy Pifer.  Andy is the Executive Director and founder of Carolina Mountain Mission.  We would like to take a group to western North Carolina to experience a week of ministry, spiritual growth, and fun with this ministry.  The date for this week is July 14-20.

This looks to be a great week that will give us the privilege of ministering to others, growing closer to the Lord, and building stronger relationships with others.  While staying in a camp setting, our day will be about worship, work, and fun.  We will rise early for personal time in the Scriptures and prayer, spend some time serving struggling families and individuals in the area, and have time for daily recreation and rest.  Our evenings together will include times of worship.  Our last day in the mountains will give us a  full fun day and we close the trip with an evening meal in the city park eating BBQ, listening to bluegrass, and meeting with those we’ve ministered to during the week.

Now is the time to secure spots for you and your family members. This is a trip for youth, individuals, singles, and the whole family – all ages are welcome.   However, please keep in mind that those under 6th grade must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Here are the particulars you need to know:

Date of trip:  July 14-20

Cost:  $450/person that covers lodging and all meals served that week in the dining hall.  If there is a concern about cost, please contact us here at the church office.  We would love to consider and plan some fund raisers to help with this cost!

You can find more information by going to www.thumbprintministries.com

We are taking $50/person deposits and need them by February 28th.   Please pray about how you can go and benefit from this great opportunity to grow in Christ!
