Dear HLPC family,
I’m sure you’ve noticed that God is blessing HLPC with an ever-increasing number of children! We are thankful for this opportunity to minister to them and to their families!
Right now, we have several needs for help in children’s ministry, and the good news is we aren’t looking, at present, for help that requires any preparation on your part. We need folks who are willing to serve children and help them make the most of what we are doing to encourage them to know and love the Lord Jesus. One thing we require of all children and youth ministry volunteers is that they submit to a confidential background check. Where do we have needs? Three areas: nursery, Teach Me to Worship, and Vacation Bible School.
- Our nursery is always open to receive new staffing help.The beauty of serving in the nursery is that the more who help, the fewer times your help will be needed. Please contact our nursery coordinator, Jessica Fuqua, to let her know of your availability Jessfuqua@gmail.com.
- Teach Me to Worship is our time to help prepare little ones for full participation in Lord’s Day worship. It follows a great curriculum to help them understand the “why” behind the “what” of worship. We really need help with what we could call “crowd control.” You can let Connie Bankson know of your availability conniebankson@gmail.com.
- Lastly, we need more help for Vacation Bible School (VBS). This has historically been a great week of ministry for HLPC. This will take place June 5-9, 9AM to noon. We have leaders for all the major areas, but need helpers to help move kids from session to session and other needs. If you can help in any way, contact Connie Bankson conniebankson@gmail.com. There will also be a VBS helpers meeting right after worship this Sunday. Look for a future email from Connie with more information about that.
