Important Stuff

A few things to highlight this week:

  • This Sunday, during School of Discipleship at 9:15AM, we will have presentations from the Deacons and Elders of HLPC.  Kirby Moore, chairman of the Deacons, will go over our budget for 2020 and answer questions you may have.  Michael Collins, one of our Ruling Elders, will share some of the work of the Elders of HLPC.  Please make an effort to be there!
  • We now are livestreaming our worship services over the internet!  If you are home due to illness or prevented from being with us on Sunday, you can go to our church website at www.houstonlakepres.org and click on “webcast” and watch the entire service each Lord’s day at 10:30AM.  Please feel free to share this with others!
  • As a church, we continue to pay attention to the Coronavirus and how we can make common sense adjustments to church life and to worship at HLPC.  You will receive an email in the next day or two outlining some simple yet helpful steps we will take in worship starting this Sunday.  Please follow the advice we are all being given to wash our hands regularly and to stay home if sick.  Use the hand sanitizers in the church foyer.  Feel free to use other ways of greeting other than handshakes.  Let’s keep reminding ourselves that we can trust the Lord and that He is surprised by nothing that comes into our lives!  Our theme should remain, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, “ (Psalm 46:1-2).
