Dear HLPC family,
Apparently, my remarks this past Sunday confused some but I don’t leave for Santiago, Chile until THIS Sunday night to teach with Seminario Reformado Latinoamericano (SRL), which translates as “Reformed Seminary of Latin America.” My nonstop flight leaves around 10PM and arrives in Chile around 7AM. There is no time difference between here and there. I would very much appreciate your prayers for travel safety, my remaining preparation, and that the Lord will use the course I’m teaching. I’ll be teaching on the book of Ephesians. My schedule is to teach evenings on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and then to teach all day Saturday. On Sunday, I’ve been asked to teach their adult Sunday School prior to the worship service. Then, I leave around 10PM and, Lord willing, arrive in Atlanta around 7AM. I’d appreciate your prayers for getting some sleep on the plane, especially on the flight down to help me not be too wiped out during the week.
It’s a great privilege and joy to teach with SRL. I’m so encouraged by what the Lord is doing through this ministry. There is a growing hunger for sound, Biblical training from a Reformed perspective. As our dear friend, Dr. Noe Acosta, likes to say the Reformation is taking place in Latin America! If you’re unfamiliar with SRL, of which I’m privileged to serve on the board, you can learn more HERE. HLPC supports this ministry prayerfully and financially.
I’m also looking forward to seeing three new elders ordained and installed here at Houston Lake Presbyterian Church this Sunday during worship. It will be a special day in the life of our church.
Your Pastor,
Paul
