Our MidWeek meals are on their annual summer hiatus so there will be nothing happening at the church tonight. However, we are excited about the Summer Study that starts NEXT Wednesday, May 17th at 7PM. I sincerely hope you’ll make an effort to come.
As you are probably aware, this is the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. We look to 1517 as the year Martin Luther set things in motion to call the Church recover an understanding of God’s grace and the authority of the Bible. In fact, we will be having a special Reformation Conference October 27-29 with Dr. Noe Acosta to celebrate.
But you don’t have to wait until October to dig in to the roots of the Reformation. We will be studying “Luther and the Reformation” for the next 10 weeks (taking a break for VBS week and 4th of July week). This study, taught by R.C. Sproul, will give us a great opportunity to understand better what God did at that time in history. This will be a study in theology and church history.
In addition to our study, we’ll have dessert for you and childcare is available! I hope you’ll make an effort to be here as we kick things off next Wednesday. I think it will be edifying and fun!
