Zach was raised in Signal Mountain, TN, and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2017. After graduation, he married his wife, Olivia, and moved to Memphis, TN, where he served in college ministry at a local church. After four years in Memphis, Zach and Olivia moved to Middle Georgia in 2021 to help lead and serve in the youth ministry at Houston Lake Presbyterian Church.

After serving as a pastoral intern at HLPC for several years, Zach earned his Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2025 and now serves as the Associate & Youth Pastor at HLPC.

Zach enjoys spending time outdoors, eating unhealthy food (especially hot wings), reading, and watching movies. He and Olivia have three children—Coleman, Caroline, and Calvin. The Hoods love Middle Georgia and are passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with students and seeing lives transformed by the Word of God.
